Hello, I’m Ron Heimbecher.
Welcome my personal website.
Sometimes the greatest compensation in a lifetime is a phrase that begins “With your help, I was able to…”
I have two greatly interrelated passions, gaining and sharing knowledge and expertise.
A former relationship manager/solution architect for a large IT services company, I started ChaliceMedia LLC, doing architecture R&D for a few expanded ebook concepts, I love writing, but I wanted to do something to take my projects (and perhaps those of many others) to a new level of reader experience, and in the process discover and develop tools to help emerging writers be discovered within the chaff. My work and position also offer me a number of opportunities to present educational programs to writers throughout Colorado — and beyond. B^)
I’ve had a diverse career in private and public sector management in a number of industries; have spoken throughout the US, and have won a number of awards for technical and strategic innovation. I currently build websites and configure Open Source applications and maintain networking profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook. I write under several pseudonymns, and my alter-egos are all over the web. To date (+), approximately 175,000 unique visitors have generated over 5 million views of my content (for those of you interested in squiggly things, my pages were spidered an additional 7 million times.)
I’m a member of several writers organizations; Crested Butte Writers, Pikes Peak Writers, and Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and the immediate past president of PPW.
I live in Colorado with my wife Monica and Sailor the Dog… the world famous award winning* yellow Labrador retriever (visit SailorTheDog.com).Cool!
I’m happy to do technical work and instruction for SMALL businesses as well. I believe that with the right knowledge and passion there are ways to successfully compete with the big guys. If you’re looking for a pretty smart guy, who knows how to do a lot of stuff, you might have come to the right place. Please see the About Ron page for some high-level skillset information.
*Sailor won an award for Most Improved in his puppy class (with Ted Terroux). You don’t want to know what he was like before the class started. +As of 31 Dec 2009 (Pikes Peak Writers, Blogger, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Squidoo content not included in statistics.)
